Why Steve Harvey took the job
Steve Harvey didn't sign on to lend a famous name to a logo. He signed on because he's lived the frustration.
His own foundation spent 17 years applying for government grants and never won a single one. He and his wife finally gave up on the paperwork and funded it themselves. He also talks openly about how the system treats veterans, and why that keeps him up at night.

The $140 billion problem, and how we work

Among adults 65 and older, an estimated 9.1 million are eligible for help across SNAP, SSI, and Medicare Savings Programs but aren't enrolled, according to the National Council on Aging.
